Community singing in the Annex, with our Wednesday night community choir! Song: Shona Malanga, a South African protest song from the anti-apartheid movement, meaning “Shorten the days until we meet again, the struggle for freedom continues”. In the languages of Zulu and Portuguese.
We were invited to lead a song in the opening rally at the Toronto Women’s March, for 15,000 people. It was an unforgettable moment of unity, solidarity, and harmony. Song: We Stand, by Kelli Love and the Standing Rock Youth Runners.

Our choirs from two locations came together to sing in celebration, and invited the broader community to join in on the fun. The event was a fundraiser for the Together Project, a local organization that connects Canadians with refugee newcomers to build stronger, more integrated communities.
This video was taken when some of our Wednesday night choir members got together to practice the song “One Day” for our Big Sing event. We love this song so much.
