Come out to sing in celebration, as we join voices in support of the Together Project. We’ll share a lively afternoon of easy-to-learn songs that nourish the soul and uplift the spirit. The Big Sing is our final event of the winter choir season, and a celebration of the songs that we’ve learned together each week. We can’t wait to share these songs with our broader community, and to invite you to join in on the fun. All voices are welcome, and no singing experience is required.
Our Big Sing events are always a fundraiser for a local group doing good work in the Toronto community. This season, we are delighted to join our voices in support of the Together Project. The Together Project, a project of Tides Canada, connects Canadians with refugee newcomers to build stronger, more integrated communities. They believe that getting settled in a new country is always easier when you have friends. Through innovative “Matching” programs, public green space events, and research projects, their work aims to bridge the integration gap for newcomer refugees. To learn more about the Together Project, please visit their website:www.togetherproject.ca.
The Big Sing is brought to you by Sing for Joy, an all-inclusive singing community in Toronto that gathers each week for the pure joy of singing together. It is a member of the Ubuntu Choir Network, a global community of singing groups who believe that the joy of singing is a universal birthright, and that together, regardless of musical background, we can help improve the world by joining voices in song.
