Nestled in a beautiful forest setting on the banks of Georgian Bay, we will gather together for three days to sing songs that nourish the soul and uplift the spirit, eat real food prepared with love, and feel our connection to one another.
Nestled in a beautiful forest setting on the banks of Georgian Bay, we will gather together for three days to sing songs that nourish the soul and uplift the spirit, eat real food prepared with love, and feel our connection to one another.
Our gathering will be held at Camp NeeKauNis, a public camp that is owned by the Society of Friends (Quakers). It is located on traditional Wendat (Huron) and Anshinaabeg land, on the shore of Georgian Bay, near Waubaushene, Ontario. The Camp is 130 kilometres north of Toronto – around an hour and a half to two hours by car.
Perched on a beautiful hill overlooking Georgian Bay, the Camp has a rustic charm with cabin accommodations for up to 70 people. Camping is also allowed for those who want to sleep on the earth, or have a bit more privacy. There is waterfront access to the lake for swimming and canoeing, by way of a short peaceful walk through the forest. The Camp has a big dining hall, where we can share meals together, as well as a central meeting hall for song circles. A newly renovated bathhouse is available with showers and bathrooms.
Camp NeeKauNis is wheelchair accessible. Please contact us ahead of time so we can best meet your needs.
FOR THOSE CAMPING:
Camp NeeKauNis is easily reached by car. For directions, see the map below.
Bus service is also available by Northland Ontario, from Toronto to a small town just minutes away, with pickup by someone from the RiverSong community from there. You can check out price and time here.
We have set up a ride-share forum to facilitate car-pooling among our RiverSong community. On our forum you can add yourself as a driver or find a ride. We suggest that each rider pay $10.00 each way to the driver to help offset the cost of gas. Click on the car below to sign-up.
